This one was only about 20 minutes away. It has been sitting awhile but it looks pretty solid.

The inside of the tank had the old Kreme peeling off. I got a couple gallons of methly ethyl ketone soaking inside the tank now. That's supposed to dissolve it after a couple of days.

6 right now. I'll have 7 next Thursday. I'm picking up an '86 Big Red that I'm pretty excited about. The fenders are toast but that's ok because I'll put my new fiberglass fenders on them.

How did the MEK work out getting the coating off the inside of the tank?

It worked really well! When I was done, like the vinegar to treat a rusty tank, I ran the MEK thru a filter and poured it back into the can. I reused it for another tank and it worked just as good. MEK is a little more expensive than acetone which I read will work just as good. I haven't tried to dissolve Kreme with acetone yet though.
