Was out cutting firewood this afternoon and I went though some mud and I noticed only my right rear wheel was spinning - no power was being transmitted to the left rear wheel. I suspected it was a wheel hub issue and upon disassembly I was correct. I had another hub on hand so I was back in bidness. Pics below.

OUCH!


I'm not familiar with the 250ES axles, but it looks like there are bearings on the ends with seal, and oil should be in the axle tube, like a pickup truck axle.

Those Honda's are tough.  Rear-end fluid should be changed but they just keep going.  Mine is used daily year-round sits outside and starts at even 30 below Fahrenheit.
